From Idea to Success

A leading baked goods manufacturer faced the challenge of processing large quantities of a wide variety of doughs precisely, hygienically, and efficiently. Conventional machines quickly reached their limits: weight fluctuations, time-consuming cleaning, and limited flexibility made production difficult. The goal was to develop a solution that not only enables precise dough processing but also offers maximum transparency and control over the entire production process.

Together with the customer, the Industrie Rex AW EC was developed as a customized solution. In a cooperative process, requirements were defined, test runs were carried out, and improvements were integrated directly into the system. The machine processes all types of dough with high accuracy, achieves a dough throughput of up to 6.5 tons per hour, and covers a weight range of 22 to 180 grams. The open design allows the customer to monitor the production process at any time and adjust settings directly, virtually eliminating weight fluctuations.

There are some innovations in the system installed, that means we have an incredibly high weight accuracy which almost lies by zero. That really has to be said, this is a huge advantage because there are nearly no weight fluctuations.

Success Through Close Partnership

What stands out in particular is the close collaboration between Koenig’s engineering team and the customer’s technical department: technical questions could be resolved quickly at any time, adjustments were jointly implemented, and the trial operation was swiftly transitioned into stable 24/7 production. Cleaning processes were also optimized in coordination: daily cleaning routines take place during operation, while basic cleaning every 14 days is carried out efficiently. The project demonstrates how partnership-based development can create a system that combines flexibility, hygiene, and efficiency at the highest level.

It is an excellent cooperation on the part of the engineering team as well as on our technical department. The years of know-how are also shown in the new Rex-plant which is why we are currently very satisfied with the system.
